Candidates with a valid California CTE credential and extensive construction experience are encouraged to apply. As a teacher, you’ll facilitate learning in safety practices and technology while working with local businesses to coordinate real-world placements for students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Instruct students in construction safety and technical skills

• Partner with the industry for student work placements

• Develop creative lesson plans for engaging instruction

• Lead data-driven assessments of student performance

• Ensure a classroom culture of respect and collaboration

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• Valid California CTE Teaching Credential

• At least three years of construction industry experience

• Previous teaching or mentoring is preferred

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
