As a Literacy Coach, you will work closely with adult learners to assess their current literacy skills and collaboratively develop plans to improve them. The role allows for a personalized approach, where sessions can be held at a public library or through Zoom. Comprehensive training and support are provided, ensuring you feel confident in guiding your learner’s development.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct one-on-one coaching sessions with adult learners
• Use provided templates and resources for session planning
• Create personalized Learning Plans tailored to learners' goals
• Encourage and motivate learners through diverse methods
• Communicate regularly with the program coordinator for support
Requirements:
• Must be over 18 years of age
• Attendance at volunteer orientation is mandatory
• Must have a Canadian Language Benchmark of 8
