Student Assistant

Position: Student Assistant at NLSchools
Support student development at NLSchools as a Student Assistant, offering personal care and mobility assistance in a K-12 environment. Join a dedicated team facilitating positive behaviour and safety support for all students.

This role is temporary and offers 6 hours per day. As a Student Assistant, you will work under the direction of teachers to enhance student participation in school life, including events and field trips. Experience working with children, especially in educational settings, is a must, along with preferred training in Early Childhood Education or related fields.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide personal care and mobility support to students

• Ensure student participation during school events

• Follow emergency procedures and maintain confidentiality

• Assist in the implementation of behaviour management techniques

• Transport students as needed to and from events

Requirements:

• Completed high school or equivalent

• Experience with children in work or volunteer roles

• Training in First Aid and Non-Violent Crisis Intervention preferred

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow safety protocols

• Police Records Check required for employment
