Join the Student Services team at Sun West School Division as a Temporary Full-time Child and Youth Counsellor. Deliver impactful counselling services at Westberry and Rossville Schools starting immediately.

This position provides vital support through individual or small group counselling sessions for students facing emotional or behavioral challenges. You will collaborate with teachers on social and emotional wellness and assist in developing effective classroom programming tailored for students with special needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide counselling services to students with emotional and behavioral issues

• Collaborate with teachers on student wellness topics

• Assist in developing classroom programs for affected students

• Engage with parents and guardians regarding student progress

• Offer workshops to teachers in your area of expertise

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or related field

• Combination of education and school counselling experience

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Ability to manage travel between assigned schools

• Commitment to student emotional and social development
