Job Overview
As a Field Service Representative, you will provide on‑site support to BD customers, including installation, corrective maintenance, preventative maintenance, removals, and other support for our portfolio of robotized systems dedicated to the automated preparation of pill dispensers in pharmacies, part of our Medication Management Systems Pharmacy Automation & Dispensing products.
Key Responsibilities- Travel to customer sites and deliver courteous and professional technical support, carrying out repairs and maintenance on medical device robotic systems as required.
- Update equipment and software, conduct follow‑up visits to meet customer needs, and prepare service reports in accordance with internal standard operating procedures.
- Participate in the continuous improvement of departmental practices.
- Support and train clients in the maintenance of their systems.
- DEP or DEC in mechanical engineering, industrial mechanics, automation, or relevant training.
- Two (2) or more years of experience in a field service role related to automation and technical service—providing equipment installation, corrective and/or preventative maintenance.
- Fluency in English (read, speak, write).
- Availability for up to 60% travel, locally and overnight, and travel to the USA for trainings (1–2 weeks) as required.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record for at least 3 years, meeting BD’s auto safety standards.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 70 lbs and work on feet for extended periods; able to push, pull, stoop, bend and lift.
- Proficient troubleshooting methodology when collaborating with customers on sophisticated technical issues.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, prioritization and time‑management skills; ability to work independently in a multi‑functional dynamic team environment.
- Strong client‑service orientation, urgency, adaptability to changing business environments and flexibility for rotational schedules (weekends).
- Proficient with MS Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Professional experience in technical support, field service, implementation, training, and installation of dispensing and/or pharmacy automation.
- French bilingualism (asset).
