Position: SaskPower Plant Operator Full-Time
Location: Lanigan

Become a Plant Operator at Sask Power Aspen Power Station, a pivotal role in managing efficient plant operations. This permanent, full-time position requires expertise in power engineering and team collaboration.

In this safety-sensitive full-time position, you will be responsible for the operational readiness of turbines, generators, and boilers. Utilize your Second Class Power Engineer’s Certificate and hands-on skills to monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize plant systems during 24/7 shifts. Collaborative teamwork and effective communication are essential as you interact with control centers and provide insights on plant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct and participate in plant operations and maintenance

• Monitor turbines, generators, boilers, and emission systems

• Conduct inspections and diagnose equipment malfunctions

• Compile maintenance records and prepare operational reports

• Communicate effectively with incoming shift personnel

Requirements:

• Second Class Power Engineer’s Certificate required

• Experience in plant operation and maintenance

• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence

• Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment

• Strong teamwork and decision-making skills
