Join Saskatoon Light & Power as an Electrical System Operator and play a crucial role in ensuring system efficiency. This position involves monitoring and controlling vital electrical equipment through SCADA technology.
The role is positioned under IBEW 319 and requires you to actively manage outage systems while providing leadership in a technical capacity. Your troubleshooting skills and understanding of electrical systems will be key in maintaining operational integrity during disturbances. The ideal candidate will have robust experience and a commitment to safe practices.
Key Responsibilities:
• Act quickly to restore electrical power during outages
• Update and manage SCADA databases
• Troubleshoot and maintain system infrastructures
• Document all power interruptions and component failures
• Liaise with Sask Power’s Grid Control Centre
Requirements:
• Graduation from a recognized Electrical Engineering Technology program
• 7-9 years in electrical utilities, with field experience
• Proficient analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Safe driving record with a Class 5 Licence
• Previous system operation experience preferred
