What You'll Do:
Provide technical support to the Mill Operations and Maintenance Departments.Prepare plans, specifications, and cost estimates for construction projects; making feasibility and economic studies of alternative plans.Perform engineering assignments for a wide range of mechanical, structural, civil, and environmental projects including foundation, structural and mechanical design.Perform professional cost analyses and value engineering duties.Assist in establishing, modifying, and achieving the department's safety programs.Assisting in the technical direction and training of engineering and operations personnel; providing technical guidance and work supervision for engineering, technical and professional staff as needed.Monitoring the work of service providers to ensure that all regulations are being followed and work is being done safely.What You'll Bring:
A Bachelor's Degree from a recognized university in the field of Mechanical or Civil Engineering.Eligibility for Professional Engineer status in Saskatchewan.Varying levels of Engineers will be considered (Engineer-in-Training, Engineer, Sr. Engineer).Several years practical and progressively responsible experience in a heavy industrial environment is an asset.Experience in project management, including the ability to supervise the work of other professional and technical staff and contractors/consultants is preferred.Positive safety behaviour and safety leadership.Ready to make an impact with us?
