About Your New Role  Reporting to the Superintendent, Mine Engineering, the Mine Engineer, Senior, is responsible for creating, designing, and developing best practices regarding mining engineering processes, procedures, and practices to support the success of departmental targets. You will have a diverse skill set that allows you to support various mine-engineering positions (planning, scheduling, ventilation, ground control, services, and projects). You will role model a safety program that promotes a culture of safety and health of all employees working in and/or with the Technical Services Department.

Key Responsibilities   Take on infrastructure projects, feasibility studies, equipment procurement, and prepare packages for capital expenses.
Create & automate reports, analyze data, combine mining costs/economics on mine performance, and provide technical documentation to support decision-making.
Support the mine operation with ice road procurement and resupply through accurate forecasting of required supplies.
Support the implementation of Deswik.

OPs with the goal of creating seamless processes connecting mid-range plans with short-range plans and transitioning away from excel based mining data capture.
Work with business partners to calculate mineable reserves.
Engage and interact with business partners across the organization to identify and implement improvement and operational excellence opportunities.
Maintain a high standard of quality in all work.
Assist in the preparation of medium & long-range mine plans.
Adhering to programs, systems, and procedures in mine design that meet industry standards and continually seek opportunities…
