:Major Job Functions
Achieve profitable parts and service revenue based on corporate and territory targets
Evaluate customer needs, promote and sell products and services to meet those needs, and provide quality solutions that address customer requirements
Develop and maintain client information and data utilizing Finning Canada’s CRM software and Product Improvement Program (PIP) to enable accurate market intelligence, pricing, estimates, and customer satisfaction
Prepare accurate and timely forecasts, pricing, estimates, and market intelligence of parts and service revenue targets for the assigned customer base
Establish appropriate targets, goals, and objectives that align with corporate strategy
Ensure all sales documents and customer agreements are completed in a consistent, accurate, and timely manner
Qualifications
Post secondary education in a relevant field such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline; an equivalent combination of education and related experience will also be considered
Minimum 3 to 5 plus years of consulting sales experience, demonstrating strong application of fundamental selling principles such as prospecting, introducing benefits, call planning, qualifying, handling objections, follow ups, and closing the sale
Strong working knowledge of diesel and natural gas engines used in electric power generation applications
Solid understanding of generator systems and controls, including basic load management and power generation principles
Experience with or strong aptitude for maintenance programs, service agreements, and lifecycle support of power generation equipment
Broad mechanical and electrical fundamentals that support effective technical discussions with customers and service teams
Ability to translate technical information into clear, value based sales solutions aligned with customer operating requirements
Understanding of preventive maintenance and reliability concepts to support uptime and cost of ownership discussions
Comfortable working cross functionally with service, parts, and engineering teams to support customer needs
Ability to read and interpret single line electrical drawings is considered a strong asset
