Graduate Teaching Assistant (ME 113 ), Department of Mechanical Engineering
The Department of Mechanical Engineering invites applications for up to five Graduate Teaching Assistant positions for the Mechanical Engineering portion of ME 113 Engineering Analysis I.
ME 113 is a ten-week long course taken by all first-year mechanical engineering undergraduate students in the College of Engineering. Teaching Assistants are required for CAD instruction (Autodesk Inventor), grading course assignments, and delivering problem labs in various numerical analysis topics. All course activities occur during the period of February 24 – April 29, 2026.

Duties
The Graduate Teaching Assistant reports directly to the Instructor responsible for the course. Specific duties will be assigned by the Instructor and may include one or more of the following:
Demonstrating and/or assisting with the demonstration of problem/computer laboratories;CAD instruction (Autodesk Inventor);Grading assignments; and/orOther duties related to the course deemed appropriate by the Instructor(s).Skills and Abilities
Minimum qualifications:
Graduate student in good standing at the University of Saskatchewan.Demonstrated experience (, undergraduate or graduate coursework, research or industrial experience, experience with specific software packages) that is relevant to the specific class or laboratory.Good English language oral and written communication skillsCompletion of the University of Saskatchewan online Laboratory Safety, and WHMIS training coursesIdeal qualifications:
MSc or PhD student in good standing in Mechanical Engineering with an undergraduate degree in Mechanical EngineeringExcellent English language oral and written communication skillsPrevious experience as an instructor or teaching assistant relevant to the topics in this courseFamiliarity with specific equipment used in the laboratory (if applicable)To apply for these positions
