Project Planner

Position: Project Planner - PL#28077

This role will play a key part in maintaining schedule integrity and supporting field execution as the project advances through its later stages.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and optimize integrated project schedules using Primavera P6

Perform detailed resource loading, productivity tracking, and workforce planning aligned with construction and commissioning activities

Support short‑ and long‑term planning for field execution, construction sequencing, and turnover milestones

Interface with construction, engineering, and operations teams to ensure schedule alignment with site realities

Monitor critical path activities and identify risks to schedule, proposing mitigation strategies

Track progress against baseline schedules and provide regular reporting to project stakeholders

Support planning for site‑based activities, including coordination of periodic field execution work

Requirements

Minimum 5+ years of experience in project planning/scheduling within mining, heavy industrial, or large‑scale construction environments

Strong proficiency with Primavera P6 (P6 scheduling, resource loading, and progress tracking)

Experience supporting construction, commissioning, or brownfield/greenfield mining projects

Solid understanding of construction sequencing, productivity metrics, and field execution planning

Ability to work effectively between office‑based planning teams and site‑based operations

Strong communication skills with the ability to interface across multidisciplinary teams

Work Environment

Primarily office‑based in Saskatoon with periodic travel to site

Site access supported (transportation available as required)

Standard schedule:
Monday to Friday, approximately 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with some flexibility based on project needs
