Lead Structural Engineering Expert

Join Cameco as a Lead Structural Engineering Expert, providing technical leadership for site operations and projects. Ensure quality and compliance in all structural designs.

As a senior member of the technical services team, you will report directly to the chief structural engineer. This role encompasses scope development, project planning, and risk assessment for effective asset lifecycle management. Your leadership will inspire junior engineers and ensure industry standards are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee project scope development and cost estimation

• Work with designers on CAD for structural modeling

• Draft technical memos and inspect structural compliance

• Supervise engineering teams and manage resources

• Ensure adherence to Cameco’s design criteria and safety standards

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (civil or structural)

• 7-12 years of engineering experience

• Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) designation

• APEGS and PEO registration eligibility

• Occasional travel to remote Saskatchewan and Ontario sites
