Advance your career with WSP as an Intermediate Transmission Line Engineer. This role, based in Western Canada, focuses on designing solutions that promote renewable energy integration and grid stability. Joining our Transmission & Distribution team, you will lead projects that involve designing and upgrading high voltage transmission lines.
Your role is pivotal in ensuring successful project execution while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Utilize your engineering skills to make meaningful contributions towards shaping the future of energy in Canada.
Key Responsibilities- Manage transmission line design projects effectively
- Ensure quality control of internal and subcontractor work
- Prioritize and oversee multiple projects under budget
- Conduct technical evaluations for design merit
- Lead client interactions and project communications
- Relevant engineering degree (Civil, Electrical, etc.)
- 5-10 years of experience in high voltage design
- Proficient with line design software tools
- Skilled Engineering license (P.Eng.) mandatory
- Familiarity with project management processes preferred
