In this executive leadership role, you will provide strategic, commercial, and operational leadership for Rail & Transit across British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba
, while contributing to WSP’s Global Rail & Transit leadership team
. You will lead a growing practice of more than 100 professionals
, oversee a significant P&L portfolio
, and drive sustainable growth aligned with WSP Canada’s strategic plan.

• Set and execute the strategic vision for Rail & Transit in Western Canada, aligned with national and global business objectives.
• Lead and grow a high‑performing business
  , optimizing margins, utilization, cash flow, and long‑term profitability.
• Strengthen trusted client relationships with public‑sector agencies, private partners, and industry organizations.
• Champion business development efforts
  , positioning WSP for major rail & transit opportunities across Western Canada.
• Provide executive oversight of project delivery
  , ensuring excellence in safety, quality, risk management, and financial performance.
• Develop and inspire leaders and teams
  , fostering engagement, retention, and a strong succession pipeline.
• Represent WSP publicly
  , through industry events, client engagements, and thought‑leadership opportunities.

• A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related technical discipline.
• 20+ years of professional experience
  , including senior leadership roles within the rail and transit industry.
• Demonstrated success leading complex, multi‑regional businesses with full P&L accountability.
• Deep understanding of railway operations, maintenance, and multimodal transportation systems
  .
• A proven track record of business growth, client development, and financial performance
  .
• Strong executive presence with the ability to influence, communicate, and lead in a matrix organization
  .
• An uncompromising commitment to safety, ethics, and professional integrity
  .

Salary for this position starts at $295,000
