As the Saskatoon Location Manager, you will play a key role in leading and growing the Saskatoon office while contributing technically to project delivery. This role blends strong technical expertise with business leadership, requiring a hands-on professional who can both deliver high-quality consulting work and drive business growth.
The successful candidate will be a technical doer and seller who is passionate about building a thriving business, developing strong client relationships, and growing a high-performing team. This position carries responsibility for location operations, team management, project delivery, and business development, ensuring the Saskatoon office continues to expand its impact and market presence.
This in-person role, based in Saskatoon, will draw on your consulting and industry experience as you guide project delivery, mentor team members, strengthen client partnerships, and lead business growth initiatives while contributing to innovative science and engineering solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and grow the Saskatoon office by driving business development, identifying new opportunities, and strengthening client relationships.
- Contribute as a hands-on technical leader, delivering high-quality consulting work while supporting project execution.
- Build, maintain, and expand client relationships, supporting proposals, contract negotiations, and account growth.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a small interdisciplinary team, supporting recruitment, performance management, and professional development.
- Oversee day-to-day location operations including financial tracking, budgeting, and reporting.
- Proactively monitor project performance, ensuring quality deliverables, client satisfaction, and alignment with business objectives.
- Contribute to operational processes that enhance team engagement, productivity, and efficiency within the Saskatoon office.
Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geoscience, Water Resources, or a related discipline; equivalent relevant experience may also be considered.
- 8+ years of relevant experience in environmental, engineering, water, or related technical fields; consulting experience is a requirement.
- Strong technical background with the ability to contribute directly to project delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to build a business, drive new sales, and develop strong client relationships.
- Proven experience managing projects, teams, and multidisciplinary work.
- Experience leading and mentoring team members in a consulting or professional services environment.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Professional designation (P.Eng., P.Geo., P.Ag., or similar) or eligibility to obtain one is considered an asset.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
