As a Software Engineering Manager for Tailscale's Strategic Projects team, you will play a vital role in advocating new connectivity solutions for developers. Reporting to the Chief Strategy Officer, you will lead a remote team of skilled engineers while utilizing AI tools to enhance workflow and productivity. Your focus will be on creating prototypes that resonate with market needs, ensuring alignment with customer-driven demands.
Key Responsibilities:
• Guide senior engineering talent in a growth setting
• Drive new integrations and platform enhancements
• Make key design decisions for production-ready projects
• Set standards for AI tools and code review practices
• Cultivate a dynamic and inclusive team atmosphere
Requirements:
• Proven experience in managing engineering teams
• Skilled in Go for product development
• Heavy engagement with coding agents and LLMs
• Experience with client-facing engineering tasks
• Comfort with rapid shifts in strategic focus
