Lead innovative optics engineering initiatives at Photonic in beautiful British Columbia, Canada. As a Senior Optical Engineer, guide optical sub-system designs from prototype to production.
This full-time role is ideal for experienced optical engineers with over 15 years in telecommunications or data centers. Collaborate across teams to define optical designs, validate performance, and implement fiber-optic technologies. Drive specifications, innovations, and ensure effective communication within cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
• Define optical design and validation processes
• Lead specification of optical link architecture
• Execute roadmap for fiber-based electro-optical sub-systems
• Track technical requirements for performance and reliability
• Identify new component technologies for innovation
Requirements:
• Master’s or Doctoral degree in relevant fields
• 15+ years of industry experience in optics
• Proven innovation in optical solutions
• Experience in fiber-based C- or O-band systems
• Proficiency in optical design and data analysis tools
