This role supports responsible agricultural drainage within resilient watersheds. You will work directly with clients and stakeholders to develop and advance agriculture water management projects that improve farm efficiency and support economic growth, while managing impacts to water quality, downstream flooding, and habitat.
In this position you will use strong technical and project management skills, you will collect and analyze data, complete assessments and technical reviews, conduct field inspections, and ensure projects comply with legislation, policy, and funding requirements. Success in this role requires excellent communication, a collaborative approach, and the ability to clearly explain complex information to support compliance, education, and innovative, practical solutions to complex water management challenges.
You will work among a diverse and passionate team of professionals from various disciplines and contribute to projects that will have an impact province‑wide.
The successful candidate will have a diploma in Water Resources Engineering Technology or a related field such as Civil Engineering Technology (Civil Construction or Water Resources), Environmental Engineering Technology, Integrated Resource Management, or Agriculture. A degree in Agriculture will also be considered. Professional certification with a recognized association is an asset, including designations such as P.Tech, Tech Ag or P.Ag. Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered;
3-5 years of related experience is preferred.
