Eldorado Gold Saskatchewan | Foran (TSX:ELD) is seeking a  Geophysicist  to join our growing McIlvenna Bay team. This is a full-time position based at our Saskatoon office working Monday-Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm with travel to our McIlvenna Bay site as required.

As part of the Exploration team, the  Geophysicist  supports mineral exploration and mining projects through the acquisition, processing, interpretation, and integration of geophysical data. The role contributes to exploration targeting, geological modelling, and technical evaluations while supporting the planning, coordination, and execution of geophysical surveys.

Working collaboratively with geologists, technical specialists, and external contractors, this position combines technical geophysics with project coordination responsibilities, including survey planning, contractor management, data quality assurance, and geophysical interpretation.

Depending on the successful candidate's qualifications and experience, responsibilities may range from supporting technical programs under the guidance of senior team members to independently leading geophysical projects and providing technical recommendations.

Job Responsibilities

Support the planning, execution, and interpretation of geophysical programs for mineral exploration and mining projects.

Compile, validate, manage, and integrate newly acquired, legacy, and historical geophysical datasets.

Process, model, and interpret geophysical data to support exploration targeting, geological modelling, and technical decision-making.

Produce standardized maps, models, reports, and custom data products to support exploration activities.

Develop, document, and maintain data management processes, workflows, contractor deliverables, and technical records.

Assist with or lead the design, planning, and field supervision of geophysical surveys.

Coordinate and oversee geophysical contractors, including supporting contractor selection, monitoring performance, reviewing deliverables, and ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and to required quality standards.

Collaborate with geologists, engineers, and technical specialists to integrate geophysical information into exploration programs.

Identify opportunities to improve geophysical workflows, data quality, and technical processes.

Prepare technical summaries, reports, and presentations for internal stakeholders.

Comply with all company health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements while promoting a strong safety culture.

Perform other related duties as required.

Job Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor's degree in Geophysics, Earth Sciences, or a related discipline. A Master's degree is considered an asset.

Experience in mineral exploration, mining, or applied geophysics is considered an asset. Candidates with a range of experience, from recent graduates to experienced professionals, are encouraged to apply.

Registered, or eligible for registration, with APEGS as a Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo.), Professional Engineer (P.Eng.), Geoscientist-in-Training (G.I.T.), or Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.), as applicable.

Knowledge of geophysical survey methods and associated datasets, including electromagnetic (EM), induced polarization/direct current (IP/DC), magnetics, gravity, and magnetotellurics (MT).

Experience with geophysical processing, modelling, and interpretation software such as Oasis Montaj, Geoscience Analyst, ArcGIS, or similar platforms.

Experience with GIS, database management, and programming or scripting (e.g., Python) is considered an asset.
