Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Position: AeroVironment Senior Manufacturing Engineer
Drive manufacturing innovations at Aero Vironment as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer III. Lead the design of systems for Unmanned Air Vehicles while implementing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.

In this pivotal role, you will manage equipment specifications, develop production processes, and employ advanced manufacturing strategies. Your expertise in mechanical or electrical engineering, along with a strong focus on continuous improvement, will support the production of Small Unmanned Air Vehicles. You will actively generate Value Stream Maps, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and enhance manufacturing capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and manage assembly and test equipment documentation

• Implement Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma processes

• Generate Value Stream Maps to improve production efficiency

• Create work instructions and assembly procedures

• Conduct Design for Manufacturing analysis with the engineering team

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related field

• 5-8 years in Manufacturing or Test Engineering

• Experienced in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma

• Proficiency in CAD tools like Solid Works

• Occasional travel to suppliers required
