Engineering Technologist Field Inspections

The City of Saskatoon is looking for an Engineering Technologist to support utility systems through field and office duties. Focus on roadway and water stream projects while ensuring compliance and safety.

In this CUPE 59 position, you will assist the Engineering Manager in preparing contract documents, executing field inspections, and generating progress reports. This role involves analyzing data related to utility systems, supervising subordinate staff, and coordinating with external agencies. A strong emphasis is placed on safety and compliance throughout all projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare contract documents for utility projects

• Conduct inspections and prepare progress reports

• Analyze condition and performance data

• Supervise and train subordinate staff

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations

Requirements:

• Two-year post-secondary technology program graduate

• Certification eligibility as a Professional Technologist

• Two years’ related survey or inspection experience

• Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver’s Licence

• Safe driving record demonstrated by current abstract
