Deputy Chief of Government Relations

Elevate community engagement and government relationships as the Deputy Chief of Intergovernmental Relations in Saskatoon. Drive strategic initiatives and enhance communications while leading a dedicated team.

This full-time permanent position reports to the Chief Operating Officer. You will be pivotal in developing integrated strategies for government relations and citizen engagement. Key activities include building relationships across various levels of government, overseeing community consultations, and executing comprehensive communication strategies to reflect organizational priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead development of integrated government and citizen engagement strategies

• Build and maintain relationships with government and community partners

• Oversee community consultations and research initiatives

• Develop and execute communication strategies aligned with government objectives

• Provide strategic advice on political and policy developments

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field;
Master’s preferred

• 10 years of senior leadership experience in related areas

• Knowledge of Indigenous governance and community relations

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

• Valid Saskatchewan driver’s license required
