Environmental Protection Officer

Enforce environmental bylaws and protect local ecosystems as an Environmental Protection Officer with the City of Saskatoon. Manage projects and investigations to ensure compliance within the community.

Under the supervision of the Environmental Operations Manager, you will oversee compliance and investigate infractions across various properties.

Your role involves conducting environmental sampling, maintaining records, and contributing to public education efforts. This position requires a commitment to sustainable development and promotes community involvement through educational presentations and special projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect properties to ensure bylaw compliance

• Enforce environmental regulations and issue warnings

• Conduct environmental sampling for projects

• Maintain detailed records of investigations and reports

• Assist with community-led environmental initiatives

Requirements:

• Graduated from a recognized environmental technology program

• Two years of experience in environmental compliance

• Eligible for P.Tech certification

• Valid Saskatchewan Class 5A Driver’s Licence

• Strong communication skills in verbal and written forms
