Step into a leadership role with Métis Nation – Saskatchewan as the Director of Cabinet and Legislative Services based in Saskatoon. You will oversee legislative functions, ensuring the highest standards of governance and service delivery.

Reporting directly to the Deputy Chief, this position plays a crucial role in legislative service management, making certain that all processes align with Métis customs and legal standards. You will lead budgeting efforts, manage meetings, and bolster collaboration among senior officials and stakeholders. Your expertise will help develop initiatives that promote Métis democracy and self-governance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop operating budgets and financial policies

• Ensure timely legislative resolutions and compliance

• Coordinate high-level meetings across governing bodies

• Maintain relationships with key government leaders

• Facilitate training for improving governance skills

Requirements:

• Degree in political science or related field

• 5-6 years in government or legislative services

• Deep understanding of Métis political landscape

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

• Valid Saskatchewan driver’s license preferred
