Make a difference in the lives of individuals with autism as a Community Integration Specialist with QSAC. Work flexible shifts in Astoria and Kew Gardens, promoting independence.
As a Direct Support Professional, you will adhere to treatment plans tailored for each individual while providing support to enhance their functional and social skills.
Your role will contribute to their integration into the community through various recreational outings while following the ethical standards of the NADSP.
Key Responsibilities:
• Promote health, safety, and well-being of individuals
• Support emotional and social skill development
• Document adherence to treatment plans
• Maintain confidentiality and professional standards
• Transport individuals safely when necessary
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Experience with intellectual disabilities
• Valid New York State Driver's License preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to assist with lifting and physical tasks
