Elevate your career with Nova Scotia Health as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer at Northside General Hospital. This permanent, full-time role involves performing critical ultrasound procedures and delivering top-notch patient care.
As a member of the Diagnostic Imaging Team, you will report to the Manager of Diagnostic Imaging. This position seeks graduates from accredited ultrasound programs, NSCMIRTP licensure, current CPR certification, and preferably, candidates with experience in the field. Additional credentials in ultrasound are valued.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform routine and specialized ultrasound examinations
• Apply ultrasound techniques with precision
• Document and discuss findings with the healthcare team
• Deliver exceptional care to patients during procedures
• Travel to different sites may be necessary
Requirements:
• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Ultrasound program
• NSCMIRTP licensure and valid CPR certification
• Understanding of technical language and manuals
• Previous experience in sonography preferred
• Competency in French is advantageous
