Enhance patient outcomes as a Biomedical Technologist with Scarborough Health Network. This full-time position requires your expertise in medical equipment management and maintenance.
As a critical member of the Biomedical Engineering team, you will report to the Director and be responsible for the inspection, installation, and servicing of medical equipment. This role is ideal for a professional with a Biomedical Engineering Technology diploma and at least five years of practical experience in a hospital environment, aimed at improving healthcare service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct initial inspections and performance tests on medical systems
• Facilitate the installation of new healthcare technologies
• Document maintenance activities in the CMMS database
• Assist clinical users with operational guidance
• Ensure compliance with safety codes and standards
Requirements:
• Diploma from a recognized Biomedical Engineering Technology program
• Five or more years as a Biomedical Technologist in hospitals
• Comprehensive knowledge of medical diagnostic equipment
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to professionalism and service quality
