Disability Support Professional – (DSPCERTFN)
Saskatchewan Polytechnic’s Disability Support Professional program offers training to become a community service worker, supportive living worker, educational assistant, or life enrichment worker. This one‑year certificate program equips students with knowledge and practical skills in basic care, behavioural support, person‑centred planning, and crisis prevention to provide compassionate, respectful care for individuals with challenging needs and disabling conditions. The program includes two practicum experiences.
Eligibility & Admission Requirements
Grade 12
English Language Requirement
Accepted applicants may be required to provide evidence of a Criminal Record Check for practicum experience. The Criminal Record Check is not required for admission; it is required when practicums begin.
Accepted international students must have a co‑op work permit to complete the practicum requirements.
