Speech Language Pathologist at ADEA

Enhance student communication skills in northern Saskatchewan with Athabasca Denesuline Education Authority as a Speech Language Pathologist. This role focuses on tailored support at Father Megret Elementary and High School.

The ADEA is looking for a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist contractor to work one week per month at Hatchet Lake. This position requires diagnosing communication challenges and collaborating closely with educators and families to foster student success. Strong interpersonal skills will be essential to create a supportive educational atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete communication skills assessments for children

• Monitor progress of educational interventions

• Deliver in-services and workshops for staff and community

• Conduct direct intervention sessions as needed

• Instruct staff on effective intervention techniques

Requirements:

• Must be a registered Speech Language Pathologist with SASLPA

• An understanding of Denesuline culture is beneficial

• Availability for travel one week per month
