Position: Personal Caregiver (Biggar)
Location: Biggar

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive homemaking services, including cleaning, cooking, laundry, and general household management.
  • Offer companionship and accompany clients to community activities and events.
  • Administer personal care services in accordance with the care plan directives.
  • Ensure the emotional, spiritual, and physical comfort and safety of clients to the highest possible standard.
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living, tailored to meet their specific needs.
  • Perform specialized procedures for clients where training has been provided while demonstrating current competency.
  • Observe and document client conditions in line with company standards; promptly report any unusual events or changes in client condition to the Supervisor or Office.
  • Implement and adhere to infection prevention practices.
Qualifications
  • Completion of a formal, accredited caregiver training program or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the principles of caregiving and customer service.
  • Ability to communicate in spoken and written English;
    French proficiency is an asset.
  • Physical ability to assist clients with movement and repositioning, including the ability to lift 23 kg, squat, bend, stand, and reach.
  • Reliable mode of transportation; driver’s license and automobile ownership are an asset.
  • Clear Criminal Background Check with Vulnerable Sector Check.
  • Pending new hire requirements, proof of vaccination against illnesses such as COVID‑19, hepatitis, seasonal flu, etc. may be required as dictated by provincial regulations.
