Lab Patient Technician

Position: Full-Time Lab Patient Technician Role
Make a difference in healthcare as a Full-Time Lab Patient Technician age with patients, perform vital tests, and ensure accurate data management in a trusted diagnostic environment.

Life Labs seeks a dedicated Lab Patient Technician to work various shifts while delivering exceptional patient care. You'll perform phlebotomies, ECG tracings, and special test collections while maintaining strong communication with patients.

Your role is crucial in ensuring that Canadians receive reliable and timely diagnostic results every day.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet patients and explain the specimen collection process

• Perform phlebotomies and connect/disconnect holter monitors

• Conduct ECG tracings and special test collections

• Enter patient demographics and requisition information

• Prepare specimens for transportation and testing

Requirements:

• Graduate of approved Laboratory Assistant program preferred

• Phlebotomy experience is an asset

• Excellent communication and computer skills

• Strong empathy and customer service aptitude

• Ability to maintain patient privacy and confidentiality
