Purpose:The Specialty Program Manager plays a critical role in supporting patients prescribed specialty therapies. The role leads the identification, development, and national rollout of specialty pharmaceutical programs. This role combines clinical expertise and commercial orientation to grow service uptake, optimize patient access, and oversee a small clinical team (e.g., specialty nurses) supporting program delivery.

- Supervise, mentor, and coordinate a team of specialty nurses/clinical staff; set goals, conduct performance reviews, and manage workload/priorities.
- Recruit and onboard clinical hires; provide clinical/operational training and professional development.
- Analyze clinical landscape, unmet needs, referral patterns, payer dynamics, and specialty distribution to identify program opportunities and target accounts.
- Design and operationalize innovative solutions for health care providers, including specialists and key centres.
- Serve as clinical subject matter expert (SME) for therapy administration, safety monitoring, adverse‑event escalation, and patient management.
- Build relationships with KOLs, specialty clinics/infusion centers, specialty pharmacies, and patient advocacy organizations.
- Develop training and playbooks to support reimbursement team, Business Development Managers, and key‑account engagement.
- Collaborate with BDMs on territory planning and elevate complex clinical or access issues.
- Track KPIs (enrollment, time‑to‑first‑dose, adherence/persistence, program conversion, revenue impact) and drive continuous improvement.
- Other duties as assigned by Management.
- Degree in Nursing, or related healthcare field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in cardiology.
- Strong understanding of specialty medications.
- Experience navigating insurance and prior authorization processes.
SKILLS:
- Proficiency with EMR systems.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate and patient‑centered approach to care.
