Pharmasave #466 is looking for a full-time
Pharmacy Assistant to join our team in Martensville, Saskatchewan.
- Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality patient care
- Greet customers and answer phone calls in a professional manner
- Assist with entering, labelling, and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist or pharmacy technician
- Accurately count, measure, and package medications according to established protocols
- Receive and stock medication and supply shipments, monitor inventory levels, rotate stock, and support inventory audits
- Keep the pharmacy area clean and organized; safely dispose of expired medications and hazardous waste in accordance with regulations
- Perform clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and assist with insurance claims and prescription transfers
- Assist with daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assigned
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience as a Pharmacy Assistant in a retail pharmacy setting, with a foundational understanding of pharmacy operations and business practices.
- Highly skilled in the use of Kroll, with strong accuracy and efficiency in prescription data entry.
- Demonstrates a solid understanding of Pharmacare/insurance billing processes and clinical services flagging.
- Completion of a pharmacy assistant program is an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to thrive in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to stand for long periods and occasional lifting of boxes/containers.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- 40 hours per week (Full-time)
- The standard shifts for this role vary and may be scheduled between Monday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., or 12:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
- Weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday) may be scheduled from 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. or 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
- Candidates must be flexible and available to work any of these shifts as required.
