In this role, as a Personal Support Worker, you’ll provide essential hands-on assistance with daily activities while honoring each resident's preferences and dignity. Working closely with nursing staff, you will establish a safe, respectful environment that facilitates person-centered care and promotes residents’ autonomy and well-being. You will be key in supporting restorative practices and safety measures.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide personal care for daily living tasks
• Support resident independence and choice
• Enhance bathing routines with dignity and comfort
• Follow care plans and document observations accurately
• Collaborate with nursing staff on resident care goals
Requirements:
• Certified PSW with at least 600 hours of training
• Experience in long-term care or complex needs environments
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to complete safe transfers and follow practices
• Must provide current Vulnerable Sector Check
