Temporary Social Worker at Idylwyld

Enhance community health as a Temporary Full Time Social Worker at Idylwyld Medical Centre in Saskatoon. Focus on case management and counseling for adults facing mental health challenges and social issues.

This role reports to Dr. Shawn Smit or Renee Jansen and supports clients' psychosocial needs through assertive outreach and case management. You will collaborate with mental health and addictions services (MHAS) teams and engage with various community settings to provide comprehensive support. The position emphasizes managing crises, recovery planning, and coordinating services for improved patient access.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform assessments and counseling for adult clients

• Maintain contact with families and community partners

• Provide crisis intervention for clients on immediate needs

• Coordinate referrals for specialized services

• Prepare and manage clinical reports as required

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) required

• Registered/eligible with SASW

• 1 year experience in mental health/addiction services

• Supervised clinical counseling experience

• Valid Saskatchewan Driver’s License needed
