DEPARTMENT: MENTAL HEALTH AND ADDICTIONS, WELLNESS CENTREPOSITION LOCATION: OWEN SOUNDUNION AFFILIATION: NON-UNIONSTATUS: FULL-TIMEREASON TO POST: DIRECT REPLACEMENTSALARY RANGE: $88,285 - $106,484 Reporting to the Manager Mental Health and Addiction Treatment Services, the Supervisor is responsible for a broad range of both clinical and administrative duties. They will oversee the care given by staff and students and provide direct care as required following Recovery Principles.

Other key responsibilities include: auditing both files and data system, staff scheduling, maintaining equipment and supplies, and acting as a role model for staff in promoting multi-disciplinary communication and co-ordination of care.QualificationsRequired

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Health or Social Services Discipline and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Three (3) years clinical experience
  • Demonstrated excellence in working with an interdisciplinary team and community partners
  • Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent computer skills in Windows Environment and familiarity with Data Management Software
  • Ability to troubleshoot and maintain routine activities of department
  • Knowledge of and demonstrated ability in the following competencies: communication, teamwork, initiative and accountability, time management, organizational skills, and flexibility/adaptability.
  • Demonstrated/proven ability to research/investigate issues independently and/or in team problem solving, and decision making.
  • Ability to respect and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to handle multiple demands, frequent interruptions, and to work effectively with clients who are intoxicated, in crisis, or in other stressful situations.
  • Ability and willingness to continually upgrade skills.
  • Recent satisfactory performance and attendance records

Preferred
  • Supervisory skills in areas of conflict resolution, scheduling, training, and report writing,
  • Knowledge of quality improvement and risk management
  • Recent experience in a leadership role
