Your role will involve direct care and support for individuals in community home environments.
As a Personal Support Worker at Extendicare, you’ll be integral in fulfilling the physical and emotional needs of our clients. The ideal candidate will assist with daily activities such as bathing and grooming while ensuring adherence to care plans. Preference will be given to those with experience in dementia and palliative care settings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist patients with bathing, grooming, and mobility
• Provide emotional support to residents
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided
• Communicate positively with patients and families
• Operate independently within community care settings
Requirements:
• Completion of a recognized PSW, HCA, or CCA program
• Experience with dementia and palliative care
• Effective English communication skills
• Ability to work autonomously in community settings
• Access to a reliable vehicle
