Certified Perfusionist Role

Join a dedicated team as a Certified Perfusionist at Royal University Hospital located in Saskatoon on a part-time basis. This vital role requires hands-on operation of advanced cardiac machinery.

The Clinical Perfusionist will support medical procedures by managing equipment such as intra-aortic balloon pumps and ECMO devices. You will be responsible for performing tests, analyzing data, and participating in ongoing research projects. This role requires effective communication with healthcare teams to maintain high standards in patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and oversee perfusion-related medical devices

• Conduct comprehensive blood gas and clotting analyses

• Keep equipment and disposables well-stocked and maintained

• Educate staff on the use of perfusion equipment

• Initiate research projects related to perfusion care

Requirements:

• Cardiovascular Perfusion advanced certificate essential

• Current Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)

• Successful completion of Cdn Society of Clinical Perfusion exam

• Registered with the appropriate licensing body

• Flexibility for part-time shifts within a temporary role
