Job Description :
The EMT-ACP will respond to calls for service as per dispatch instructions, providing assessment, treatment and transportation of ill or injured persons. The EMT-ACP will cover standby assignment, as operations require. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS membersin accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"
Education
Advanced Care Paramedic Diploma (ACP)
Licenses
Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certificate (PALS)
Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic/Advanced Care Paramedic (EMT-P/ACP)
Valid Class 4 driver's license
Health Care Provider Level C Certificate (HCP-C)
Other Education and Training
Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals (PEPP) certificate acceptable
Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS)
Basic Life Support Instructor Certificate (BLS)
Competencies

Must be able to respond to the ambulance within 10 minutes when on-call
