Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Greet all patients and screen them as per facility guidelines.

Pre-screen all the facilities upcoming surgeries as per facility

Answer incoming telephone calls and deal with them appropriately.

Organize patient charts and enter appropriate data into EMR system.

Organize courier services as needed.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment and waiting room.

Required Qualifications

Successful completion of a recognized Medical Office Assistant program with Certificate  or  equivalent experience.

Proficient in Microsoft Office with accurate data entry / keyboarding skills.

Ability to manage time and multiple tasks effectively.

Must be able to work both independently and as a part of a team.

Familiarity with medical terminology.

Ability to adhere to strict regional policies and procedures and legislated requirements regarding patient confidentiality.

Experience using Sunrise Enterprise Registration (SER) and OR Manager systems an asset.
