Job SummaryReporting to the Senior Manager & HRBP, the HR Advisor provides HR support, consultation, and problem‑solving solutions on a wide range of HR matters at Lanigan Potash and supports the execution of the Potash business strategy.
What You’ll Do- Provide HR support, consultation, and problem‑solving solutions to Employees and Leaders at Lanigan Potash on a wide range of HR matters.
- Assist with the administration of HR programs and processes including talent attraction, performance management, investigations, compensation and benefits, health and wellness, etc.
- Collaborate closely with Hiring Managers and Talent Attraction to ensure timely filling of vacancies; administer the internal and external hiring processes.
- Facilitate new hire orientation to new employees and foster a positive ongoing workplace experience for new hires.
- Assist in the administration of Labour Relations, including interpretation and application of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and the grievance/dispute resolution process.
- Support Leaders through ongoing HR initiatives and in the implementation of new HR initiatives.
- Prepare weekly, monthly, and as needed HR reports to support business needs and decisions.
- Complete HR transactional tasks including personnel movement, communication/notices, and general transactions.
- Diploma or Degree in Human Resources or related field is required.
- 5 years’ Human Resources generalist experience; experience working in a Human Resources Business Partner team is a strong asset.
- Preference will be given to candidates with HR experience in a unionized environment and interpretation/application of a CBA.
- Strong ability to develop relationships with Leaders, Management, Union Executive, and other stakeholders.
- Knowledge of Canadian employment legislation and regulations.
- Excellent systems thinking and problem‑solving skills including negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to balance the requirements of the Potash HR department and the clients we support.
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple job demands, manage responsibilities strategically, and adapt as needed.
- Ability to work in a matrix environment, collaborating and communicating effectively across multiple business functions.
