We are seeking a Senior Web GIS Developer to lead the design and development of our next-generation web-based GIS applications. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in GIS technologies, web development, and spatial data analysis, with the leadership skills to guide projects from concept to deployment. This role is both highly technical and collaborative—perfect for someone passionate about building innovative geospatial solutions that make a real-world impact.
Key Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable, high-performance web-based GIS applications.
Develop custom GIS solutions and tools to meet diverse project requirements.
Integrate, manage, and process spatial data from multiple sources and formats.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, data scientists, and project managers) to deliver high-quality GIS solutions.
Ensure application performance, security, and scalability across platforms.
Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers , and establish best practices.
Stay current with the latest advancements in GIS technology, web frameworks, and industry best practices .
Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geography, Computer Science, Geospatial Science, or a related field.
Proven experience developing web-based GIS applications with tools such as Leaflet, Mapbox, or ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript .
Proficiency in web technologies : HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern frameworks.
Strong knowledge of GIS technologies and tools , including ESRI ArcGIS, QGIS, and open-source GIS libraries .
Experience working with spatial databases (e.g., Postgre
SQL/PostGIS).
Proven experience leveraging AI-assisted coding tools to accelerate coding, debugging, and optimization.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with experience in team-based projects.
