GenAI Focused Applied Scientist II

Location: Martensville

Lead the charge in innovative underwriting practices at Coalition as an Applied Scientist II specializing in GenAI. This remote role enables you to directly influence our cyber risk assessment methodologies.

You will own modeling challenges at Coalition, enhancing our capacity to manage digital risks effectively. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will design, implement, and evaluate ML and GenAI models that shift our underwriting paradigm. Your projects will help translate complex data signals into actionable decisions for the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Construct and refine ML models that guide underwriting decisions

• Spearhead end-to-end ML initiatives in modeling and evaluation

• Develop ML pipelines for rapid experimentation and assessment

• Utilize advanced ML techniques for improved underwriting

• Effectively communicate project outcomes and insights

Requirements:

• Ph.D. or Master’s in a relevant field or equivalent experience

• 5+ years in ML development and deployment

• Expert in supervised and unsupervised learning techniques

• Strong coding skills in Python and core ML libraries

• Minimum 1 year in insurance underwriting model application
