About Cashew Research

Cashew Research is an AI-powered research platform that makes sophisticated market research more accessible, helping businesses move from questions to insights with more speed, structure, and confidence.

We combine research expertise, AI, and purpose-built software to help users move from a business question to a research plan, survey, audience, data, and report in one connected workflow, without losing the rigor and strategic thinking that great research requires.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a UX Product Designer to help make complex research workflows feel clear, intuitive, and easy to use.

The Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced UX Product Designer to help shape the next stage of Cashew’s platform and strengthen the design foundation we build from.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys designing complex SaaS products and wants to help create the structure behind how design gets done. Beyond designing individual features, you’ll help evolve our design system, define reusable UX patterns, improve consistency across the platform, and create standards that help our product and engineering teams move faster with more clarity.

You should be comfortable working in an early-stage startup environment where not everything is fully defined yet. We need someone who can bring strong design craft, practical product judgment, and enough structure to help us scale without slowing the team down.

What You'll Do

  • Design thoughtful, user-centered experiences across Cashew’s research platform
  • Simplify complex workflows such as study setup, survey creation, audience targeting, data collection, reporting, dashboards, and analysis
  • Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity mockups, and detailed design handoff documentation
  • Design polished research outputs and reporting experiences that help users turn insights into business-ready materials, including executive summaries, board-ready reports, presentation-friendly takeaways, and social-ready content
  • Help evolve and maintain Cashew’s design system, including components, variants, accessibility considerations, interaction patterns, and usage guidelines
  • Define reusable design standards so similar product experiences are handled consistently across the platform
  • Create structure for how design work is documented, reviewed, handed off, and implemented
  • Work closely with engineers to ensure designs are feasible, scalable, and aligned with the component system
  • Partner with product, research, and customer-facing team members to understand user needs, pain points, and business requirements
  • Translate customer feedback, internal QA findings, and product strategy into clear UX improvements
  • Design AI-assisted product experiences, including how users review, edit, trust, and act on AI-generated outputs
  • Support usability testing, user feedback sessions, and design iteration where needed
  • Balance polished UX with startup speed, technical trade-offs, and business priorities

Who We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of product design, UX/UI design, or related experience
  • Experience designing SaaS products, B2B software, workflow tools, dashboards, analytics products, or similarly complex digital platforms
  • Strong UX thinking and the ability to turn ambiguous requirements into clear, intuitive product experiences
  • Strong visual design skills, with attention to layout, hierarchy, interaction patterns, and detail
  • Experience designing end-to-end flows, not just individual screens
  • Experience contributing to or owning a design system, component library, or product design standards
  • Advanced Figma skills, including components, variants, prototyping, and design system organization
  • Comfort creating structure in a fast-moving environment without over complicating the process
  • Comfort collaborating closely with engineers, product leads, researchers, and company leadership
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain design decisions clearly
  • Preference for candidates with experience designing polished, client-ready outputs such as reports, dashboards, executive summaries, presentation templates, or shareable content that helps users communicate insights clearly and…
