Position: Senior SAP BDC / Datasphere Developer to build custom data products using SAP Business Data Cloud and Datasphere for a
Skill Level: Senior
Duration: 6 Months (high likelihood of extension)
Location: Fully Remote, EST hours required (open to candidates anywhere in Canada)

Our client is a large national beverage distributor currently executing a significant Data and AI modernization program. They are building internal SAP Business Data Cloud capabilities to reduce reliance on their external SI and retain knowledge within the team for the long term. The successful candidate will be embedded directly in the Data and AI team, designing and building heavily customized SAP BDC data products that feed downstream Snowflake pipelines for AI, reporting, and supplier-facing insights.
Must Have Requirements:
7+ years of experience working with SAP data, data engineering, data warehousing, or analytics solutions3+ years of hands-on experience with SAP Datasphere and/or SAP Data Warehouse CloudHands-on experience with SAP Business Data Cloud (BDC) or related SAP data product capabilitiesStrong experience with SAP Datasphere data modeling, transformations, and integrationExperience building or customizing SAP data productsStrong understanding of SAP data structures and SAP data integrationExperience with ABAP, ABAP CDS, or SAP backend data extraction in support of data and analytics solutionsExperience integrating SAP data with Snowflake or another cloud data platformExperience integrating and transforming SAP and non-SAP data sourcesResponsibilities
Design, build, and customize data products within SAP Business Data Cloud and SAP DatasphereBuild data models, transformations, and integration flows using SAP DatasphereCustomize and extend SAP data products for business-specific data and reporting requirementsIntegrate and transform data from SAP and non-SAP sourcesWork with SAP backend data structures, ABAP/CDS, and data extraction mechanisms to support custom data requirementsIntegrate curated SAP data with Snowflake for downstream AI, analytics, and reportingDevelop data products supporting use cases including demand forecasting, inventory, depletion, sales performance, and supplier insightsCollaborate with Data Engineering, AI, SAP, and platform teams on solution design and deliveryDocument technical solutions and support knowledge transfer to internal teamsNice to Have
Direct experience developing custom/customer-managed data products in SAP BDCStrong hands-on Snowflake development experienceExperience supporting AI/ML, advanced analytics or enterprise reporting use casesExperience with in distribution, CPG, beverage, retail or supply chain environmentsExperience working within a large enterprise SAP transformation
