Position: Fluent Indigenous Language Interpreter for Youth Care Settings
Location: Warman

Engage as a skilled Indigenous Language Interpreter, facilitating accurate communication for minors within care environments. Provide essential support through in-person, phone, or virtual interpretation across various settings.

As a vital communication liaison, you will assist minors using Mayan and other Indigenous languages. The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong ethical standards, cultural sensitivity, and working proficiency in relevant languages. Experience in foster care or medical settings is preferred while supporting unique client needs is paramount.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver onsite interpretation at client service locations

• Relay instructions and communication to minors

• Assist in conveying concerns from minors to care staff

• Provide translation for community resource orientation

• Support staff in understanding cultural contexts

Requirements:

• Working proficiency in English and target language (ILR 2+)

• Valid driver’s license required

• Preferred experience in foster or medical care

• Must be U.S. work authorized without sponsorship

• Potential need for T2, Public Trust clearance
