This position is located at our sales and service dealership in Saskatoon, SK.
THE OPPORTUNITY The Parts Lead Hand will be responsible for the overall sales performance, the customer service level, and the development of the parts counter staff. The Parts Lead Hand will be looked upon for recommendations involving overall parts department efficiencies and improvements. Other responsibilities include working daily alongside the front parts counter staff fulfilling customer orders. Additionally, the Parts Lead Hand will help monitor inventory, order parts, make recommendations to the Parts Manager, and work effectively with all dealership staff in order to ensure the highest level of customer service is provided to all customers at the dealership.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES Works with the Parts Manager to establish sales objectives for the parts counter staff
Ensures customer satisfaction by maintaining and developing exceptional customer service levels from the parts counter staff
Sets realistic telemarketing sales call goals and works with the counter staff to accomplish them
Ensures that the parts counter staff understand their duties and responsibilities
Leads by example by displaying professional and ethical conduct at all times
Coaches parts counter staff as needed
Works effectively with the shipping and receiving department to ensure timely and accurate delivery
Encourages aggressive marketing by all parts department employees
Understands, keeps abreast of and complies with federal and local regulations that may affect parts sales
Keeps abreast of all new products and updates, and continually upgrades training
Safeguards company equipment at all times
Procures all parts required by customers or technicians as requested
Assists when required in the shipping and receiving of parts and in the maintenance of stock levels
Assists Product Support Representatives in fulfilling customers’ requirements
Updates parts related information on a regular basis and maintains files as required
WHAT WE LOOK FOR High school diploma or a general education degree (GED) is essential
At least 5 years of experience working in a commercial truck parts department
Valid Class C Driver’s license
Forklift Certification or ability to operate a forklift
Excellent customer relations skills
Accountability and dependability
Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 kgs or 50 pounds
