This role is responsible for processing, preparing, and shipping sample orders while ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements. It involves maintaining accurate sample inventory, records, and documentation within the Sample Logistics Apps. The position also supports general logistics operations, international shipments, and supply management.
Job Description
Process sample orders using the Sample Logistics Apps.Prepare sample orders for shipping and attach appropriate SDS documents.Scan each order and samples, package shipments according to TDG and WHMIS regulations, and file all shipping documents.Assist with preparing and communicating details for international shipments.Conduct physical sample inventory, reconcile data in the Sample Logistics Apps, and create Excel inventory reports.Receive incoming packages for the Sample Logistics team and maintain accurate receiving records.Sub‑fill sample containers following all HSE, SDS, and site safety policies; apply research labels and scan samples into inventory.Identify questionable test substances based on appearance and consult with the Sample Logistics manager as needed.Maintain bulk inventory, apply appropriate labels, and organize containers on designated shelves.Assist with ordering, receiving, and organizing supplies for the Sample Logistics team.Perform additional sample logistics duties as assigned.Report discrepancies, order issues, computer/application problems, and any other sample‑related concerns to the Sample Logistics manager or designated person.Skills Required
1–3 years of experience in a related role.Experience working in a laboratory environment (hoods, balances, lab media).Inventory management knowledge.Strong mathematical and communication skills.Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping.Ability to manage multiple tasks within logistics and inventory workflows.Education/Training/Certifications
BS/BA degree in a science‑related field preferred or relevant laboratory experience.TDG and WHMIS training (or ability to complete upon hire).Additional Requirements
Must pass a drug screening and criminal background checksWork Shift Start Time: 07:30 AMComfortable using logistics applications and Excel for reporting.Ability to identify irregular or questionable test substances.Ability to follow safety, labeling, and regulatory procedures.Pay Rate/Salary
Estimated Salary: $15.19 to $23.19per hour.
Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors.
