Luther Care Communities (LCC) is a leading provider of housing and supportive healthcare services. As part of a hybrid organization that includes for‑profit and not‑for‑profit entities, LCC delivers long‑term care, community day programs, seniors’ housing, home support, intermediate care homes, group living homes and subsidized family housing. Responsibilities
Clean all building common areas, including vacuuming carpets, cleaning linoleum floors, bathrooms, light dusting and washing windows.
Follow daily cleaning guidelines established by management.
Handle resident information confidentially and share only with authorized contacts.
Clean guest suites when needed.
Perform minor maintenance duties required for effective cleaning (e.g., changing light bulbs, removing blinds, handling doorknobs).
Maintain quality control of cleaning activities.
Take initiative to complete non‑scheduled duties when time permits.
Adhere to LCC policies and procedures.
Complete other job‑related tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Grade 10;
Grade 12 preferred.
WHMIS training required within three months of employment.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Fluent reading, writing, speaking and understanding of English.
Ability to operate all housekeeping equipment and use cleaning supplies and chemicals safely.
Self‑directed work without supervision.
Physical ability to perform the duties.
Knowledge of WHMIS legislation and proper labeling of chemicals.
Knowledge of fire procedures.
Knowledge of safe cleaning techniques and proper use of supplies.
Good organizational and interpersonal communication skills.
Experience
Previous housekeeping experience preferred.
Experience working with seniors is an asset.
Position Status
Permanent, Full‑Time.
